Subject: Ministry of Education's directive regarding the temporary suspension of educational institutions' activities in Helmand and Kandahar provinces for investigation and public approval.

In accordance with the directive from the Ministry of Education, it is instructed that the Provincial Education Departments of Helmand and Kandahar immediately suspend all educational activities within their provinces. This suspension will remain in effect until the designated committee, appointed by the Ministry of Education, conducts an investigation into all educational projects and resolves any discrepancies at the public level.

It is also noted that a competent committee has been appointed by the Ministry of Education to evaluate the educational projects and activities in these two provinces. A report on the findings should be shared with the Ministry of Education and, in turn, with the leadership of the Islamic Emirate.

Please ensure that the necessary steps are taken in this regard.

This directive halts all educational activity in Helmand and Kandahar provinces pending an investigation by the Taliban's Ministry of Education. Although presented as a procedural review, the sweeping and indefinite nature of the suspension raises serious concerns about politically motivated interference, particularly given the broader context of Taliban-imposed educational restrictions. The lack of transparency around the investigation and vague reference to “public approval” suggest potential use of this review to further consolidate ideological control over education.
