Three Defendants Subjected to Discretionary Punishment in Paktia Province
According to the ruling of the Primary Court of Ahmad Aba District in Paktia Province, discretionary punishments (taʿzir) were carried out today, Monday, 28/11/1446 AH, against three individuals charged with theft and sodomy.
The Primary Court had sentenced two of the defendants to 35 lashes each, and the third defendant to 30 lashes as discretionary punishment. These rulings were implemented after receiving approval from the High Authority of the Supreme Court.
The taʿzir punishment was carried out in the courtyard of the Primary Court in the presence of the judicial panel, district officials, religious scholars, and tribal elders.
