Implementation of Discretionary Punishment Against Four Convicted Individuals in Faryab Province
According to the ruling of the Public Security Division of the Court of Appeal of Faryab Province, discretionary punishments (taʿzir) were carried out on 30/11/1446 AH against four individuals including one woman convicted of the crimes of pandering, extortion, and fraud.
From among the convicts, the Public Security Division had sentenced one individual to seven years of imprisonment and 35 lashes; the second convict to six years of imprisonment and 35 lashes; and the remaining two convicts to five years of imprisonment each and 30 lashes each as discretionary punishment. These rulings were implemented after receiving approval from the High Authority of the Supreme Court.
The taʿzir punishments were carried out in the courtyard of the Urban Court in the presence of the President of the Urban Primary Court, judges, judicial members, civilian and military officials, religious scholars, and a large number of local residents.
