Subject: Approval of the Academic Council date 1401/02/25-1443/10/
The Academic Council of Badakhshan University held a meeting around 10:30 AM on Sunday 1401/02/25-1443/10/ in the university’s conference hall. The meeting was led by the respected President of the university, Naqibuddin Qazi Zada, and attended by council members.
The session began with a recitation from the Holy Quran. The President opened the meeting by discussing various academic and administrative matters in detail. Afterward, the council reviewed the proposed agenda, leading to the adoption of the following decisions.
Key Resolutions from the Academic Council Meeting of Badakhshan University
1. Dismissal of Three Professors
The council discussed the cases of three faculty members:
Ms. Munira Alamyar, from the Department of Geography, Faculty of Social Sciences, Ms. Mazda Naibsh Noor, from the Department of History, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Ms. Faiza Darakhani, from the Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture.
After review and recommendations from their respective departments, the Academic Council unanimously approved their dismissals in accordance with university policies.
2. Approval of Badakhshan University’s Operational Plan
The university’s operational plan was reviewed and, after thorough discussion, was unanimously approved.
3. Proposal for a Night Program in the Faculty of Law and Political Science
The proposal to establish a night program for the Department of Public Administration and Diplomacy within the Faculty of Law and Political Science was discussed. After considering the challenges of night programs, the council decided to conduct a needs assessment to determine the market demand and societal necessity for such a program. Further discussions were deferred to the next council meeting.
4. Implementation of Islamic Culture Courses
In compliance with the directive from the Ministry of Higher Education, the council addressed the adjustment of Islamic Culture courses, which range from 17 to 31 credits. The changes may result in credit reductions or the removal of some overlapping courses. The council resolved to implement Islamic Culture courses during the first semester of the academic year 1401. Any necessary credit adjustments will be finalized accordingly.
5. Academic Promotion of Mr. Abdul Baqi Azizi
The academic promotion of Mr. Abdul Baqi Azizi, a faculty member of the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, to the rank of professor was reviewed. The council unanimously approved the promotion following expert evaluation.
The meeting concluded with prayers, and the decisions outlined above were officially approved on 1401/02/25.
