On the date of 12/9/1444 AH, according to the verdicts numbered 69 dated 29/7/1444 and number 71 dated 4/8/1444, the criminal court of the city executed punitive sentences on more than two individuals convicted of theft and alcohol consumption offenses. This sentence was carried out in the presence of local residents in the courtyard of the court's headquarters.
The public execution of punitive sentences for theft and alcohol consumption, without transparent legal procedures, underscores systemic violations of fair trial standards under the Taliban. The use of corporal punishment in front of local residents highlights ongoing concerns about arbitrary enforcement and degrading treatment, reinforcing a punitive justice system that lacks safeguards for due process and human dignity.
