Discretionary Punishment Enforced Against Two Defendants in Daykundi Province
According to the ruling of the Criminal Chamber of the City Primary Court of Daykundi Province covering two individuals, including a woman—accused of the act of zina (illicit sexual relations), the discretionary punishment (taʿzīr) was carried out today, Wednesday, 23/11/1446 AH, publicly in the courtyard of the court.
The Criminal Chamber had sentenced the aforementioned defendants to one year of custodial imprisonment each, as well as 39 lashes each as a discretionary punishment. This decision was implemented after being approved by the Supreme Authority of the Court.
