Implementation of Discretionary Punishment Against One Defendant in Badakhshan Province
According to the ruling of the Primary Court of Yaftal District in Badakhshan Province, discretionary punishment (taʿzir) was carried out on 27/11/1446 AH against a woman accused of committing adultery.
The Primary Court had sentenced the defendant to 39 lashes as discretionary punishment. This ruling was implemented after being approved by the High Authority of the Supreme Court.
The taʿzir punishment was carried out in the presence of personnel and officials of the Islamic Emirate’s institutions, as well as a number of local residents.
