Implementation of Disciplinary Punishment on a Convicted Individual in Jawzjan Province
In accordance with the decision of the Primary Court of Darzab District, Jawzjan Province, a disciplinary punishment was enforced on a woman convicted of unlawful marriage. The punishment was carried out on 09/03/1447 AH.
The Primary Court had sentenced the convict to one year of imprisonment and 39 lashes as a disciplinary penalty. This ruling was executed after confirmation by the esteemed Supreme Court.
The disciplinary punishment was implemented publicly in the presence of Mawlawi Sirajuddin (Haqqani), President of the Primary Court of Darzab, judicial members, the district governor, the police commander, officials from the Departments of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, Education, and Security.
During the session, the President of the Primary Court delivered a detailed speech on the benefits of enforcing Hudood and disciplinary punishments.
