Notes on Decree

The suspension of Neday-e Baloch broadcasts following the arrest of its editor-in-chief demonstrates how the detention of journalists directly results in the shutdown of independent media outlets. By targeting key media personnel, the Taliban effectively silence entire platforms without formal closure orders, using arrest as an indirect censorship mechanism. This case illustrates the chilling effect of journalist detention on press freedom and public access to information.
