Ministry of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, Recruitment and Complaints Hearing
1. Television media should not broadcast any films that contradict the principles of Sharia and Afghan values
2. Foreign and domestic films that promote foreign cultures and traditions and cause moral corruption in Afghan society should not be broadcast.
3. Humorous and entertainment programs should not be produced in a manner that leads to the humiliation or disrespect of individuals.
4. Programs that degrade religious symbols or human dignity should not be aired.
5. Films and videos featuring men in indecent or inappropriate attire should not be broadcast.
6. Female journalists in television media should adhere to Islamic hijab.
7. Dramas and theatrical programs that feature women in leading roles should not be aired.
8. TV series that depict the lives of prophets or companions of the Prophet in visual form are strictly prohibited from being broadcast.
Following the issuance of this directive by the Ministry of Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice and the Ministry of Information and Culture, local authorities in various provinces intensified their surveillance and imposed stricter restrictions on local media. The broadcasting of women's voices and images was completely banned on local media outlets in provinces such as Kandahar, Khost, Balkh, Jowzjan, Takhar, Kunduz, Helmand, and others. These restrictions have led to the arrest and harassment of journalists and the closure of several media outlets.
